About BurlingtonFounded as a logging camp in the 1880s, Burlington became an important rail junction served by both the Great Northern and Northern Pacific lines. Named for the city in Vermont, the town serves as a commercial center for the surrounding farms that produce peas, cauliflower, seed crops and flower bulbs.
