The sands of Waikiki Beach rise up to the door of this lively establishment. Photographs and memorabilia of Duke Kahanamoku, the famous Olympic swimmer and Hawaiian surfer, adorn the walls. Light choices, including appetizers, fish tacos and salads, share menu space with a full complement of steak, chicken, burgers and seafood entrées. Be sure to ask about the fresh catch—that is how I discovered Hawaiian opah, and it is delicious! Patrons also can sample the all-you-can-eat salad bar. Live Hawaiian music is featured nightly. Four-hour validated parking is offered at Ohana East for a nominal fee.
