The basics

Part of the Baan Teelanka group of attractions, the maze is a fun add-on that will appeal to kids in particular. With no time limits, you can take your time wandering around the maze, or race each other in teams to see who can solve the maze first. Other on-site activities include the Upside Down House, Chamber of Secrets escape room, and TukTuk Phuket Adventure animated video postcard.

Things to know before you go

• A-Maze is a fun alternative to the temples and beaches of Phuket for families with kids.

• The ground can be muddy after it rains, so it’s best to wear covered shoes.

• Mosquitoes can be an issue. Bring and use repellent.

• Different activities at the site require different entrance fees.

• There’s a souvenir shop and café on-site, with free WiFi.

How to get there

A-Maze is behind the Baan Teelanka Upside Down House complex on the Bypass Road, between the Premium Outlet Shopping Mall and Siam Niramit, just outside of Phuket Town. It’s easiest to take a taxi or a tuk tuk to the site, and takes around 20 minutes from Patong.

When to get there

A-Maze and the Baan Teelanka complex are open daily from mid-morning until late afternoon. It shouldn’t take too long to complete the maze, so it’s best to combine it with the Upside Down House, and other on-site activities such as the Upside Down House and escape room. Since the maze is outdoors, it’s best to visit on a clear day, and not right after it rains, as the ground will be muddy.

For families with kids, other fun Phuket activities besides A-Maze and Baan Teelanka include Kidzoona, water parks such as Splash Jungle Water Park, Blue Tree Water Park, Andamanda Phuket (home to a replica of the famous James Bond Island), and Surf House Phuket, where you can surf on an artificial wave.
