The National Museum Zurich (Landesmuseum Zürich) is the go-to museum in Zurich for Swiss history and culture. One of Zurich’s most popular tourist destinations, the museum has collections so vast, you could easily spend a full day exploring them.

The basics

A visit to the National Museum Zurich is included on many sightseeing tours along with other Zurich highlights, such as St. Peter’s Church, Lindenhof, and Lake Zurich. Book tickets to the museum online to save time, or pick up the Zürich Card, which includes unlimited use of public transportation, as well as admission to most museums and other discounts. You can also combine admission to the National Museum with a Zurich trolley sightseeing tour.
