How to get there

The National Museum Zurich is across the street from Zurich’s main train station. Public transportation is the easiest way to get around the city, and several tram lines stop at the Bahnhofquai/HB stop right in front of the museum. Paid parking is available nearby at the Parkhaus Hauptbahnhof, but can be costly.

When to get there

The National Museum Zurich is open year-round from Tuesday through Sunday, with extended evening hours on Thursdays; it's closed on Mondays and major holidays. Although the National Museum is one of the most popular sights in Zurich, it’s spacious and rarely crowded.
