Located on the Intracoastal Waterway, the complex of buildings feature beach themed décor. The homelike units are quite spacious. Guest amenities include beach towels, beach chairs and grills. The inviting dock area offers guests the opportunity to spot a manatee or two during migration season. Smoke free premises. 62 condominiums. 2 stories (no elevator), exterior corridors.

Booked Barefoot Beach Resort based on the photographs , rate and review on the AAA Travel Website. Upon checking in, I was told I must pay a $22.00 rec fee which was not noted on your Website. The fee was for the use of their bike and rec facilities. I told them I wasn't going to use their bike or rec facilities but was told I MUST pay the fee anyway. The condo E110 was dirty and unkept. The bed was the very worse bed of any lodging where I have stayed across the US and Canada. The condo is old and in need of major repair . Mold was on the shower floor . Barefoot Beach Resort should not be Approved by AAA Travel and recommended for it's members.

The apt was clean, however the beds were extremely uncomfortable. We liked the short walk to the beach, the pool was clean, and would be nicer with more umbrellas. If it wasn't for the sleepless nights due to rock hard mattress, we would go back.
