Baymont By Wyndham Grand Haven

This was the first time we'd stayed at this particular hotel. First impressions were that the place needs a remodel and updating. Our room was clean but showing major signs of wear and tear. The sheer curtains were torn and the A/C unit was loose on its base. The bathroom was very tight, not much room to move around. The two queen beds were comfortable and the linens were clean and without staining so far as we could see. The carpet was in good shape, no visible damage. The TV worked OK but was ROKU based - no live local programming. The breakfast offerings were what you'd expect for most hotels that have it and the daily hours were 6:30AM to 9:30AM. Our stay was 6 days and housekeeping never entered our room during that time. There was a posted sign saying that towels and linens would be replaced every three days but it never happened so that was pretty disappointing. I suppose we could have tasked the front desk with following through but didn't bother - I expect those things to occur per the posted signage. There's a pool available though we didn't make use of it. While our stay was OK, this hotel has some miles to go before I'm ready to give it a solid recommendation.

The amenities (especially the bathroom) did not match the pictures or description of what we signed up for. Also the pool/hot tub was shut down.
