Great location for my visit.
My experience was great. Hotel Staff was absolutely wonderful very friendly and helpful. This is my first time in Manhattan NY, and I got lost. Called the hotel and a lady on staff with others helped me find my way back then she provided ice for my sore knee after cheering me on my arrival.
Upon check in and during our staff the front desk were very helpful with tips for navigating Times Square and assisting us with obtaining a cab. However, on our day of departure that all changed. We knew one of the three elevators was out of order and gave ourselves 20 minutes to get to the lobby from the 9th floor. There was only 1 elevator running that would go to the highest floor called and stop on the way down. Maximum car capacity was 8 people and every time in stopped in the first 15 minutes it was full. Around that time a second elevator car started to run, but the results were the same. I used the phone supplied by the hotel to call the front desk for some assistance as we needed to catch a cab to the train station for our trip home. I explained the situation only to be told she would " see what she could do but there were no guarantees.". There were no stairs to the lobby, only to the outside of the hotel around the block. Thankfully a maintenance man arrived at our floor and we were able to get to the lobby. Front desk staff never acknowledged our issue, apologized or tried to help. They were also less than enthused about calling for a taxi to get us to the train station. It appeared that once you are scheduled to check out they know longer care about being helpful Room and bathroom had non working lights. It's clearly an older hotel but clean. Up until the issues we had trying to check out we considered returning on our next trip to Times Square but based on the treatment we received trying to check out they won't get our repeat business
