Dolphin SA1 Hotel

This hotel is one of the cleanest hotels in which I have ever stayed. The hotel is very convenient to all downtown has to offer. It is close to shopping, restaurants, theatres and nightlife. The hotel is located in a pedestrian area, so street traffic ends just before the hotel entrance. The area seems quite safe--we walked back to the hotel around midnight with no problems. This is a three-star hotel, and the decor reflects that. The bed was comfortable, and there was plentiful hot water and good water pressure. And what is most important: the hotel room, bathroom and hallways were spotlessly clean--even on the weekends. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and polite. We did not experience any of the creepy behaviour reported in other reviews. We stayed in a room on the second floor, which seemed very secure with double locks on the doors and straight hallways. There was some street noise from revelers on Saturday night, and we also heard announcements at night from the pedestrian-area bollard gate in front of the hotel. It didn't bother us, as we are from the city; however light sleepers may want to request a room which doesn't face the main street.
