Built in 1925, the beautiful property has an interesting history it’s been a hotel with a speakeasy, the site of the first local radio station and it served as a local college. Music themed décor is featured throughout and a stage is centrally located in the lobby where nightly performances are held for guests to enjoy. The rooftop bar area has spectacular water views and makes a great spot to catch a beautiful sunset. Rooms configurations vary; some are rather small compared to the more spacious suites. Smoke free premises. 83 units. 2-3 stories, interior corridors. Bath: shower only. Accessibility (Call).

The entire staff was marvelous to deal with. The hotel is not a cookie cutter place to stay and we loved that. The fact that it was built in 1927 was a big draw for us. Location was in easy walking distance to Downtown Dunedin. Jazz music every evening except Saturday was a delight. If you want the hotel chain experience don't stay there.
