AAA Diamond Inspector Notes
A charming English cottage and garden on the outside give way to a beautiful, decidedly modern coastal lodge on the inside. The bonus is the location directly across from Moonstone Beach. Each of the guest rooms and suites have lovely décor including a 48-inch HDTV and fireplace. Most second-story rooms feature a breathtaking view of the ocean. The two-bedroom family suite has a sofa sleeper and fully equipped kitchen. Smoke free premises. 60 units. 1-2 stories (no elevator), exterior corridors.

I requested an early check in because I got into town early and they were able to accomodate and got back to me immediately via text. This was so convenient for me! My room was very nice and the fireplace was such a nice romantic touch. I loved being able to hear the waves crashing in the early morning from my window as the hotel is right accross the way of the ocean. If I am ever in Cambria again I will definitely consider coming back to the FogCatcher Inn. The only one downside I had was that during my stay around 8pm I texted the from office if I could have a couple of wine glasses sent to my room and they got back to me at almost 10:30pm to let me know we can have them delivered but that the lobby closes at 11pm so we would need to order before then. By this time I had already started drinking the nice bottle of wine we got at the local winery out of our plastic cups from the room. I know this is a very first world problem but I wish they would have texted me back a little bit earlier. Nonetheless, incredible stay!
Our only complaint was the quality of the linens. The sheets were threadbare (actually the bottom sheet had a hole in it!) and had what looked like a marker stain on the top sheet.
View was excellent. Front desk failed to tell us you have to ask to have your room cleaned.
Great location. But the shower is designed wrong. Water spills out all over the place. Needs fumigation. Found a big bug inside. Texted them about it and never got a response.
