They had a great team at this location and was very clean. Right at checkin, they started getting the smaller things right. The person checking me in was very welcoming and friendly. They acknowledged my Hilton Honors membership and offered me the Hilton Honors complimentary drink or snack. Pre-COVID this was fairly typical, but ever since COVID, they don’t always acknowledge my membership and never offer the complimentary water or snack. They also offered coffee, hot chocolate, popcorn or cookies to all guests in a well lit dining area and was asked to Muskegon myself at home. This was very nice after a long evening of driving. The only thing I would suggest would be to improve their lighting at the property entry and within building. The entry drive was very dark, which was partly due to the restaurant located between the main road and the hotel being closed, which almost had me drive right by it. Other than the above mentioned dining area, the interior of the building was very dark and certainly didn’t match the warm, welcoming feeling of the staff and dining area. The team members running the breakfast and the front desk at check out the next morning were also friendly and helpful.
