Both the location—next to the historic Grand Central Terminal—and it's sheer size make this a top pick among large groups. The cavernous lobby leads to clean and comfortable, if older-styled, rooms. The lounges and facilities at the hotel are well-designed and convenient for guest use. Smoke free premises. 1298 units. 34 stories, interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

The rates for this hotel are overpriced and inconsistent from one web site to another. To add insult to injury, the hotel charges an additional $45/ Day “Resort Fee”. To soften the blow, they tell you to spend $15 or more per day at their sundry/ coffee shop and they will credit your room back the $15. If you spend $45 the first day of a 3 night stay, and $0 on day 2 &3, you will only receive a $15 credit, while having paid $135 in resort fees! We booked 3 rooms for 5 nights. No restaurants or open bar.

Prime location, but the hotel room was a little outdated - chipped wallpaper, holes in the wall, stained couches, light switches not working, dirty shower curtains. We checked in with the room unprepared, stained pillows and no towels.
