I had to engage the manager on duty as the hotel system would not recognize any of the package benefits that AAA booked. It was very frustrating to be required to engage back with AAA during my stay simply to get the support to ensure that the hotel fulfilled the booking. Then the room that they put us in was mold infested. The HVAC was very loud and when we turned our system off, the other room HVAC system was heard in our room. The first night was horrible. The MOD did help us and moved our room. But both refrigerators were broken and that was annoying too. The food was good and the staff was friendly and the spa was great. But it feels like the hotel ownership team does not maintain the property nor invest in cap. expenses when I certainly expected a lot more from this property. (Since the hotel was priced like a Ritz or a 4 Seasons, I expected a similar hotel experience). The hotel provided me with a small room credit. But I would have much rather had an outstanding experience like the Ritz/4 Seasons and not spend my vacation moving room to room simply to escape the mold.
