The rooms were clean as well as the interior halls, lobby, and breakfast area. The beds were comfortable; not to soft and not too hard. It was very quiet in our room. You could hear any external noises from either the hallway or the people in the next room; only the faint sound of the foghorn in the far distance. (There's nothing the hotel can to about that, and it wasn't something that detracted from the hotel itself.) The hotel is very convenient to everything there is to do in the area. You can walk to the lighthouse, the Jettys, and some beaches that are in the area. It is just a short drive to the Jedediah Redwood State Park, which is absolutely fabulous and a must see. The price was great. The staff there is excellent and worth double honor. The lady who kept track of the breakfast room "never" let anything run low. If my wife and I visit Crescent City again, this is the only place we will go.
