This is not a resort by any stretch. It’s a barely functioning hotel with a bunch of staff who have seemingly never worked in customer service before, let alone at a hotel. Where do I begin: the wifi is terrible and barely works (stopped working altogether on our TV), our sink was blocked for our whole stay, no one came to change towels or even offer, bed was sloppily made to the point where we questioned if there were clean sheets on it, the rooms are a mix of some new bits but mostly old even though they claim to have just renovated, the heaters in the room sound like a jet engine and are extremely old, the walls are paper thin, they have one type of sloppy pillow on offer and asking for a firm pillow was utterly foreign to them. The desk service was generally awful - asking for someone to fix anything in our room took repeated calls or standing at the desk making sure someone followed up. The lobby is nice but often dirty and disorganised. The parking lot is tiny and mess when there’s snow not to mention the staff’s lack of willingness to even consider that people might need help getting out after a big snow fall and that blocking in a car with snow from their own snowblower is a really terrible idea. They couldn’t have been more unhelpful or useless when this was pointed out to them. I asked for snow to be removed from behind my car (that they pilled there!) but was told that it was a “safety issue” for them to use their own snowblower to remove it, and I was welcome to shovel it away myself (but only if I would leave my ID to borrow a shovel!?). Absolutely the worst! There seems to be little to no management and this “hotel” survives purely because of its location in Mammoth. Apparently it’s passed hands many times and it absolutely shows. Really just stay somewhere else and save yourself the headache.
