I was so excited to stay at a renaissance hotel again! Everything except customer service/front desk was great. Michael the chef greeted us as we were on the top floor having breakfast the next morning and took our family photo and pointed out the sights from where we stood. His customer service and time he took with us was the true renaissance Marriott experience I expected. It was a great hotel, great theme and decor, great location but the front desk and staff felt more like we were checking into a club where they didn’t really offer any greeting or welcome… they just sat in their chairs as we came in late after being in the road all day. All three women behind the desk didn’t look to happy to be there. The noise from guests playing late night games nearby at a table in the lobby was deafening…it was more of a club atmosphere on a Friday night check in than a place for us to check in To a hotel. Poor welcome on a Friday night but meeting your chef the next morning was the welcome that made us feel like special guests.
