AAA Diamond Inspector Notes
Set on a 97-acre parcel on a hill overlooking Bras d'Or Lake, this well-maintained inn features a variety of rooms types, many offering terrific water views. Typically open from mid-May - mid-October. In addition to standard-size rooms with either a king, queen, or two double beds in the Main and West buildings, the East building features rooms with two queen beds and a pull-out sofa, all on one level so there are no stairs to tackle. Ten duplex-style chalet units are available, each with a small wet bar area equipped with a mini-fridge, microwave and toaster. The chalets each have a porch overlooking the lawn with views of the lake beyond. One-bedroom suites with traditional décor are located in the MacNeil House; there's also a single two-bedroom suite and a loft unit. Smoke free premises. 90 units, some two bedrooms and kitchens. 1-3 stories (no elevator), interior/exterior corridors.
