The spacious lobby—with a vaulted wood-beam ceiling, fieldstone pillars and fireplace—offers a relaxing atmosphere. The expansive landscaped grounds include a courtyard. Breakfast is available for an additional charge. The bar and lounge is open on weekends. Opened in 1961 to accommodate visitors to the New York World's Fair, this property was one of the first modern hotels in Westchester County. Crank to move window broken, room phone not working, desk lamp lightbulb hanging by wire, mold in shower, alot of dust in the intake of the room fan

The lobby of the hotel is beautiful! Getting to our room was a challenge as the elevator was out of service and we had to hump our luggage down the steps, after the clerk told us we didn't need an elevator because our room was on the same floor....then the restaurant and bar were closed for our entire stay. When I say closed, I mean it was as if they were never open. Once in our room, our sofa had a huge rip, almost the entire one cushion was torn off and the chair to the desk was in the same condition. The room was clean so no worries there. The location is fine, we drove where we wanted to go but it's not as close to town as I would have wanted.

Wonderful staff, marginal hotel. Hotel not as user friendly for folks with Parkinson's as it could be. Needs to be more accessible for folks with mobility issues. Hotel resturant was under construction & this was not noted when booking. Weekend was damp and chilly but could not get heat in my room & had to make due with plug in space heater. Good proximity to sites. Again excellent staff who made up for hotel's short-comings.
