This family-oriented property is across the street from the beach and within walking distance of downtown shops and restaurants. Rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed. A recreation room boasts checkers, backgammon, pool tables and a DVD library. DVD rentals are complimentary for guests, who also have access to a barbecue area, pool and fitness facility. Smoke free premises. 23 units. 3 stories, exterior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

I was given an inside room with a window overlooking a walkway. It was noisy and dark. The room itself was clean, but unremarkable. The staff looked like they didn't want to be there. Other than the location, there wasn't much good to say about the Tamarak Beach Resort. Be careful when you book that you know where the room is located as they have some very nice rooms overlooking the beach, this wasn't one of them. It would have been helpful if AAA had been able to provide me with that information on booking. I won't be back, and likely won't book through AAA again.
Room ground level was in basement, noisy, next to pool. Dark, no light. Breakfast, bad, would not even consider it a breakfast, dry cereal, no yogurt, no coffee. Office staff unhelpful. Parking and breakfast area, poor directions.. Room very small. Not sq feet indicated. House maintenance man, very helpful. Location great! Would never stay or recommend, other than location.
