Rooms are very well-designed with floor-to-ceiling windows. Suites offer balconies. There is an elegant open-air bar overlooking Times Square and an intimate nightclub. After defining Midtown Manhattan nightlife in the ‘70s with Studio 54, impresario hotelier Ian Schrager has returned to Times Square with this most impressive, high-design love letter to his New York. The restaurant and lounges are created in a fashion that is way above the usual for the Times Square area. Greenery, modern art, crisp clean lines, and a strong sense of how to make a beautiful and contemporary social setting all tip the scales in favor of this sophisticated heavyweight hotel in Midtown. Photos from Schrager’s collection adorn the walls in guest rooms and nicely remind one of New York’s celebrity culture of a heady time from near a half-century ago. Amazing location! Front desk staff and bell staff were incredibly kind and welcoming every time we came back to the hotel. The lobby bar staff were probably the rudest people I've ever met but I'm not rating the hotel on 2 employees. Corner suite was spacious and had such a great view of times square. Can't wait to come back and stay but won't be visiting the lobby bar.
