Wyndham Garden Tallahassee Capitol

I really wanted to love this hotel because I travel to Tallahassee frequently. Given the price per night of this hotel, I was expecting a lot more. No toiletries or hairdryer in the bathroom. A shower curtain that was ripped, and as such, water everywhere in the bathroom. I would have called the front desk, but unfortunately, our rom phone was not working properly. The elevator in the hotel was broken for part of our stay, which meant we had to use the stairs. The hallways were apparently being renovated with the carpet half ripped up. The hotel was clean, and the breakfast was good, but this was definitely not a hotel worth the amount it charges per night.

Our room had sticky floors, and there was a discrepancy in pricing that I am still trying to get resolved.

To use the elevator from the lobby, one must take a small box with glass sides down half a floor to the ground level. With the luggage cart one must squeeze into the box and someone has to be in the box to depress the button for the it to operate. Also the bedside lamps ONLY point down, they can't be raised or tilted for better light which makes reading in bed impossible. The refrigerator is at the foot of the bed and has an incredibly bright blue light. We had to drape something over it.

Walked into the room to no pillowcases, had to get them from the staff. Then no cups for coffee or water. The floor in the room was very slippery even with sneakers on. The track for the curtains was detaching from the ceiling and the bathroom was dirty in areas (behind the door). No hot water in the bathroom sink. Second time I’ve tried it and was disappointed again.

The floors were filthy in our room. An employee came over to me and said: let them know you need your floor mopped? I said we only stayed one nite, we are checking out. She repeated that we should let them know that the floor in our room needs mopping. After checkin we had to change rooms as key would not work. Entrance for handicapp was odd, 1 level below lobby. Breakfast was poor. No eggs or pancakes/waffles. TV in breakfast room did not work?
