Great place to stay and close to everything at the Canyon! Enjoyed our cute little room. Easy check-in process too.

Helpful employees. Comfortable rooms and beds. Convenient to all view points and to the shuttle buses stops. Great outdoor patio and bar to rehash your day.

We requested and were told at Registration that we had first floor (3) rooms for our family, as some were elderly… our rooms were on the second floor (w/ no elevators) Two of our three rooms were not adequately cleaned…. One had hair/urine under toilet seat, another had not been vacuumed, nor the bathroom swept. Shower handle in one room would not turn on, we had to shower in our daughter’s bathroom. Young man at front desk said as RUDE upon our check out. We asked about getting our $91 per room refund (charged on our VISA upon check-in), and this man said, “Have you ever stayed in a hotel before?” (Implying our question was as stupid.) We encountered an extremely rude Shuttle driver (looked like Santa in his long white beard and prominent waistline)… As our family was about to board his bus, I began to ask if he had room for— when the driver suddenly slammed the door closed saying, “Here’s your answer!” (Before I finished my question. Everyone on board and waiting outside the bus was aghast at his rudeness. One evening, as the sunset concluded and temperatures began to drop quickly, we were LEFT stranded by a shuttle bus who said they were too full and would return. The returning shuttle was a nearly 20 minute wait in extreme temperatures for tourists, a few dressed in tee shirts and shorts. When the Shuttle only makes three returning stops, there should be ample buses/seating at sunset, knowing this is a top tourist attraction for guests. In contrast to the unpleasant staff we encountered, the female Registration staff was very kind and courteous. The food at the Tavern, the Deli, and the restaurant was all delicious and politely served. The Market at the Deli was an incredible grocery store, and the gift shop/coffee shop were Great! And, of course, the views from the Grand Canyon overlooks, were stellar. However, for the Cost that is charged to stay in our National Parks, clean rooms, courteous staff and adequate transportation should be expected. Hopefully, these comments will help remedy some of those issues.
