St. Mary to Great Falls

Then, it’s on to Great Falls, where you’ll relive the adventures of Lewis and Clark, plus observe the works of Wild West painter Charles Russell, a liquor-loving, tale-telling and tough-talking cowboy.


Great Falls to Helena

104.2 miles: 1 hours, 56 minutes Sadura

Learn how native peoples hunted buffalo and venture past a natural wonder called Gates of the Mountains, where a Missouri River boat excursion navigates between soaring limestone walls. Venture on to Montana’s state capital, Helena, cradled in the foothills of the Rockies. Tour the elegant state capitol building, or explore the historic city on an open-air train.
