Begin your journey in Pinakates, one of Pelion’s most picturesque and untouched villages. Stroll through cobblestone paths lined with stone mansions and flowered courtyards. Continue to Vizitsa, a UNESCO-preserved village known for its elegant architecture and heritage mansions. Here, you’ll visit a local boutique shop or small cooperative to enjoy a tasting of traditional Pelion products. Next, visit Milies, one of Pelion’s cultural centers. Explore the Church of the Archangels (Agios Taxiarchis), famous for its frescoes and acoustics, and walk by the old train station where the historic Pelion steam train ends its route. You may also visit the Folklore Museum, which showcases artifacts of local life through the centuries. Conclude your day in Kala Nera, a charming seaside village on the Pagasetic Gulf. Stroll along the waterfront, enjoy a coffee or light lunch at a local taverna, and soak in the relaxed atmosphere before returning.
