About McCallAt the southern end of beautiful Payette Lake, McCall is a year-round recreational resort with a municipal airport. Fishing, boating, water skiing, horseback riding, white-water rafting, golf, camping and hunting are available. Skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and snowmobiling are popular winter sports. Manchester Ice and Event Centre is open year-round for indoor ice-skating and curling.
McCall lies on an especially scenic section of SR 55, also called the Payette River Scenic Byway. The highway heads north, merges with US 95 and continues toward Coeur d'Alene. The southern terminus of the route is Boise.
