This rustic brewpub offers a wide variety of fresh, local craft beer on tap (including its own brand) along with a menu featuring pulled pork barbecue nachos, house-smoked wings and the classic "Big Woods Pizza" topped with fresh garlic, Italian sausage and asiago cheese. This place is near the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, which makes it a prime spot on race days. The attractive lodge interior is warm and inviting, but be sure to grab a seat on the patio in nicer weather.

When I’m in Leesburg, VA, Fire Works-Wood Fired Pizza is my go-to spot for wood-fired pizza.

This casual restaurant, in what was formally a train depot, provides a great setting to enjoy a fantastic pizza with family and friends. They top their wood-fired pies with fresh organic ingredients from local farms. Gluten-free choices are available. To go along with the pizza, they offer a nice selection of craft-brewed beers from local producers as well as wine.

This trendy and stylish restaurant is very popular on the weekends for its brunch menu and with the happy hour bar crowd. The menu features unique pizza creations and a few shareable appetizers. The calabrese meatballs are an absolutely excellent start to any meal; you will not be disappointed. The servers are a great resource here as they can offer very detailed information about menu selections and steer you in the right direction.
