Inspector Picks: Five of Our Favorite Hotels with Ocean Views

Bethany Beach Ocean Suites Residence Inn by Marriott

Bethany Beach, Delaware
AAA Inspector 55: I love the center-of-town location overlooking the beach, large rooms with kitchens, and the great summer activities.
This lovely new hotel sits directly on the boardwalk and offers large studios, one-bedroom suites, and a restaurant deck overlooking the dunes. The décor is crisp and modern with a coastal vibe. Relax with spa services, or on the sunny deck beside the covered saltwater pool.Book Now

The Breakers, Palm Beach

Palm Beach, Florida
AAA Inspector 76: No matter how many times I pull into the grand driveway, I am still awed by the stunning landscaping and architectural features of this iconic hotel.
Originally built in 1896 by Henry Flagler, this hotel is one of the world's most famous. The lobby features intricate moldings and murals along the ceiling, while guest rooms offer sumptuous bedding. Dining ranges from their signature outlet, HMF, to an ice cream and candy shop, poolside eateries or the Seafood Bar which allows diners to enjoy their meal atop an active fish tank! There are four pools (all of which overlook the Atlantic Ocean) surrounded by loungers, lush landscaping and fully furnished cabanas. The Activities Center is designed for family fun. The Ocean Course (one of two golf courses on property) is the oldest in the state of Florida.Book Now

Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea

Wailea, Hawaii
AAA Inspector 569: Although the airy, elegant décor and beachfront location are breathtaking, it is the great service that defines my stay and makes me feel at home!
Known for luxury, this renovated property does not disappoint. The oceanfront resort cascades from hilltop to ocean over terraced, lush, manicured landscaping. Enjoy the adults-only infinity pool. Don't worry about bringing a beach bag; one is provided in your guest room closet. Consider upgrading to the club level, which includes breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails in the club lounge.Book Now

AAA Inspector 55: Fabulous views of the ocean draw me to the casual elegance at this coastal hotel.
The gracious hotel reflects a rambling beachfront ambience. The decks and patios are stocked with rocking chairs and overlook the beach; some have views of Currituck Sound. Spacious guest rooms are luxuriously decorated in a handsome modern beach style. AAA Inspector 591: The view of sand dunes topped with tall grass, the surf and crystal blue water from the 4th floor balconies is a favorite for me.
Designed by renowned architect David Rockwell, the luxury hotel is located on the Gulf shoreline. Take in gorgeous sunsets while relaxing on the balcony overlooking the beach or dunes.
