With waterslides, jungle ziplines, and palm-fringed swimming pools, the Arraial d'Ajuda Eco Park is one of Brazil’s most popular water parks. Just moments from Bahia’s white-sand beaches, the adventure park has both water and land activities suitable for the whole family.
The Basics
Entrance to the park gives you access to most of the attractions, including ziplines and a treetop adventure trail, various waterslides, wave pools, and a lazy river. Some activities, such as quad-bike excursions, cost extra. There’s also access to a private beach, where activities include beach volleyball, beach football (soccer), and sea kayaking. A dedicated area for smaller children includes a climbing wall, playground, and shallow pool.

How to Get There
The water park is located in the town of Arraial d'Ajuda, 4 miles (6 kilometers) south of Porto Seguro. There is no public transport to the park, which is about a 30-minute journey by private car or taxi and ferry from Porto Seguro. Regular ferries from Porto Seguro to Arraial d'Ajuda take around 10 minutes; on arrival you’ll need to take a taxi to the park.
When to Get There
Arraial d'Ajuda Eco Park is open throughout the year, but opening times vary. The park may only be open on weekends during low season, so be sure to check in advance.

The seaside resort of Porto Seguro is best-known for its sandy beaches. Curuípe Beach has natural pools ideal for swimming, while Taperapuã Beach is a party hub. Visitors can also explore the old colonial center; take a boat cruise to Aquarium Island (Ilha dos Aquários), where you can see sharks, stingrays, and other marine creatures; go snorkeling at the Recife de Fora coral reef; or party into the early hours at one of the many bars and nightclubs along Passarela do Álcool.
