Behind the stone beaches of Batumi lie the promenades, gardens, and parkland that constitute Batumi Boulevard. The Batumi Boulevard Fountains are a highlight at the heart of the park, but features such as colonnades, bamboo groves, and the beautiful Batumi Summer Theater can also be found here. Dining, leisure, and entertainment are all available depending on where you look, making this a space for every kind of traveler.
The basics
With so many different things to see and do throughout Batumi Boulevard, every visit is bound to be unique. A quick look at the seafront promenade and fountains only takes 10 to 15 minutes, but you could also keep exploring for a couple of hours. Walking and Segway tours will show you the main attractions in the waterfront park, before moving on to nearby sights such as the Batumi Lighthouse and Ali and Nino Statue.

Ideal for small groups, 4-person bikes can be rented at Batumi Boulevard to ride along the promenade.

How to get there
Batumi Boulevard follows the city’s waterfront from the Batumi Alphabet Tower all the way to the Çoruh river. Walking from the historical center or attractions such as 6 May Park only takes 10 to 15 minutes. Cycling is a great way to explore Batumi Boulevard, thanks to a dedicated bike lane that runs along it.
When to get there
Sunset is the best time for a stroll here, as you can watch the sun fall below the Black Sea horizon. During the evening, the stretch of the boulevard around Batumi Pier and the Batumi Boulevard Fountains comes to life, with people visiting the area’s restaurants, relaxing in the gardens, and admiring the illuminated fountains.
Sculptures of Batumi Boulevard
One approach to visiting Batumi Boulevard is to see how many sculptures you can find around the park. Some, such as the Fairy sculpture by the fountains and the Monument of Dolphins at the northern end, are easy to accidentally come across. Others, such as the Woman on a Bike water feature, require a bit more exploring to see.
