Caneva Aquapark

The basics

You can easily spend an entire day at Caneva Aquapark, between the high-octane water slides and tamer pools and the beach. Part of the CanevaWorld Resort, the water park is adjacent to Movieland Park, the Medieval Times historic tournament and banquet, and the Rock Star Restaurant. Older kids will love the Stukas Boom freefall slide, the Supersplash that ends with riders flying through the air before landing in the pool, and the Frozen Bob, inspired by a bobsled track. Tots and those looking for more gentle rides can have fun in the Shark Bay wave pool, or float slowly down the Lazy River.

Things to know before you go

• The park’s rides are sorted by height and geared toward everyone from adults to toddlers.
• Be sure to bring a swimsuit, towel, and sunblock.
• Guests at Caneva Aquapark can dine at the resort’s Rock Star Restaurant.
• The park is completely accessible to wheelchair users, and some of the gentler rides are suitable for those with limited mobility.
• If Caneva Aquapark closes due to rain, tickets can be used to visit the adjacent Movieland Park.

How to get there

Caneva Aquapark is part of the CanevaWorld resort in Fossalta, on the shores of Lake Garda. Take the train to the Peschiera del Garda train station, where you can catch a shuttle to the park. If you’re coming by car, take the A4 Milan-Venice highway to the Peschiera del Garda exit.

When to get there

Caneva is open daily from mid-May to mid-September, but most crowded on weekends. Try to visit during the week, especially if your visit coincides with summer vacation (June–August).

Movieland

In addition to the Caneva Aquapark, CanevaWorld is host to Movieland, inspired by some of the most beloved Hollywood films. Highlights include Pangea, a self-driving trip through “Jurassic Park”, a “Cars”-themed water ride, a stunt show styled on “Rambo”, and a stunt driving show for a behind-the-scenes glimpse at how action movies are made.
