Cidade da Criança (Children's City) amusement park is an ideal choice for visitors with active children. Located in the center of São Bernardo do Campo—in the metropolitan region of São Paulo—it was the first theme park to open in both Brazil and Latin America.
The Basics
Cidade de Criança amusement park is divided into three themed areas, one of which is dedicated to the Amazon and contains a replica of the Amazon Theatre and the Madeira-Mamoré Railroad. Among its most popular attractions are a replica of a submarine, a ghost train, a Ferris wheel, a mini roller coaster, a Viking ship, the Crazy House, and a 4D movie theater. Rather than having an all-inclusive admission ticket, you pay per ride or opt for a multi-ride pass.

Many of the park’s rides are not wheelchair accessible.

How to Get There
The park is located in the center of São Bernardo do Campo, behind the former Vera Cruz Film Studios. From São Paula, it’s around a 40-minute drive south. You can also use a public transportation; take the 574J-10 train from Conceição metro station and change to bus number 153 at Rod. Anchieta 1616.
When to Get There
Opening hours vary throughout the year, but the park is typically open Thursdays through Sundays, from morning until early evening. As the park is popular with local families, school holidays are generally the busiest.
Food After Fun
The park has limited food options so it may be a good idea to pack your own lunch and snacks to enjoy during the day. Otherwise, nearby family-friendly dining includes an outpost of Outback Steakhouse, a 10-minute walk away.
