POINT OF INTEREST

Disneyland® Park

Anaheim, California

The original Disney® destination, developed in 1955 by Walt Disney, Disneyland® Park remains a favorite of both kids and adults alike. Known for its nine lands—including Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, and the most recent addition, Star Wars™: Galaxy’s Edge—this is the place to enjoy classic Disney attractions such as the Sleeping Beauty Castle, Space Mountain®, and Pirates of the Caribbean®.

Explore Disneyland® Park—including Main Street U.S.A., Fantasyland, Frontierland, Mickey’s Toontown, New Orleans Square, and Critter Country—on foot or by vintage car and Disneyland® Railroad. Little ones will love it’s a small world® and Dumbo the Flying Elephant®, while older kids and adults won’t want to miss Star Wars™: Rise of the Resistance (accessible only via virtual queue), Haunted Mansion, and Indiana Jones™ Adventure.

Start at the back of the park to beat the biggest crowds if you’ve got limited time; alternatively, opt for a convenient multi-day access pass, or visit both Disneyland® Park and Disney California Adventure® Park with a Disneyland® Resort Park Hopper® Ticket. Disney FASTPASS® and Magic Morning privileges can also help you beat the queues, although they’re temporarily unavailable.

  • Deciding beforehand exactly which rides and attractions you want to experience can be useful, especially for first-time visitors and those with limited time at the park.
  • Look out for the Hidden Mickeys throughout Disneyland® Park, especially Main Street, U.S.A.
  • There are plenty of dining options within Disneyland® Park, as well as at the nearby Downtown Disney® District. Check which ones require reservations in advance.
  • Make the most of the official Disneyland® App to check wait times, make table reservations, and get up-to-date information. Access to select experiences, such as Star Wars™: Rise of the Resistance, is only available via virtual queue on the app.
  • Expect to have your bag checked at the door and remember that there are lockers available throughout the park.
  • Most queues and rides are wheelchair accessible at Disneyland® Park and staff members are always on hand to help you transfer from chair to ride (where applicable).

Disneyland® Park is located in Anaheim, about 40 miles (64 kilometers) southeast of Santa Monica, 25 miles (40 kilometers) southeast of downtown LA, and 20 miles (32 kilometers) east of Long Beach. There are three parking lots available for Disneyland® Park—Mickey and Friends, Pixar Pals, and Toy Story—each of which connect to the park via complimentary buses and shuttles.

Disneyland® Park is open daily, from morning until late evening. It’s busiest during school holiday periods such as spring break (March and April), the summer months, and seasonal dates—such as Christmas and Halloween—as well as on new ride opening days. Opt for an early morning or weekday visit to avoid crowds, and expect warm weather year-round.

Unvaccinated visitors aged 2 and up must now wear a face covering at all times; proof of theme park reservation, as well as a theme park ticket, are required to enter; Disney FASTPASS® and Disney® MaxPass privileges are currently unavailable, as are Magic Morning and Extra Magic Hours experiences, meet-and-greets, and parades. It’s also strongly recommended that you only visit Disneyland® Park after testing negative for COVID-19 or once you’re fully vaccinated.
