Nestled at the foot of the mighty Mt. Burangrang, Dusun Bambu (which translates from Indonesian as Bamboo Village) is a leisure complex with plenty of activities. Along with enjoying the lush natural surroundings of the resort, you can fill your day with go-karts, a water coaster, a playground, and electric scooter rides.
The basics
Other fun-filled options at Dusun Bambu include riding a mini Vespa around the grounds or taking to the water in either a gondola, bumper boat, or wooden canoe. You can also practice shooting targets and soar down the rainbow slide at the We Family Playground. The tropical nature of the resort is ideal for wandering and relaxing, and you can dine at your choice of Indonesian and international restaurants.
Things to know before you go
You can stay overnight at Dusun Bambu in either glamping facilities or quaint cottages. There’s a small entrance fee to enter the resort, which doesn’t include any of the extra attractions. You need to pay for each of the activities on offer separately, depending on which ones you’d like to do. Wear comfortable shoes for plenty of walking, and bring insect repellent with you to the park.
How to get there
Dusun Bambu is 12 miles (20 kilometers) from the center of Bandung. While you can take a bus from Terminal Leuwipanjang and then change at Terminal Cimahi, the quickest way to reach the park is by driving via Jl. Sersan Bajuri and Jl. Terusan Sersan Bajuri; if you don’t have your own car, Grab is widely used in Bandung.
When to get there
Dusun Bambu is open daily from morning to night. On the weekends, it hosts traditional Sundanese music and performances. The best time to visit Bandung is during the dry season from June through September, when there is less humidity.
