Praça da Luz 2, Luz, São Paulo, Southeast Brazil, 01120-010
Nestled in the heart of São Paulo, Estação Pinacoteca (Pina Estação) stands as a testament to the city's vibrant art scene, showcasing a diverse collection of contemporary Brazilian art. Housed in a historic train station, this cultural gem seamlessly blends the old and the new.
The basics
As well as two floors of dynamic temporary exhibitions, the museum also hosts the São Paulo Resistance Memorial, dedicated to preserving the memory of various movements that resisted political repression in the Brazilian Republic. A single ticket allows you to explore all three buildings of the Pinacoteca de São Paulo: Pina Estação, Pina Luz, and Pina Contemporânea. The latter two buildings are within easy walking distance of Pina Estação. You can buy your ticket at the museum entrance or buy a timed entry ticket on the museum’s website.
Things to know before you go
Estação Pinacoteca is wheelchair-friendly, so everyone can appreciate the beauty within its walls.
Outside food and drink are not allowed inside the museum besides water bottles. However, you can grab drinks and a bite to eat at the on-site Café da Pinacoteca.
Don’t forget to stop by the museum gift store after your visit to find a unique souvenir.
How to get there
Situated centrally in São Paulo, Estação Pinacoteca is easily accessible. Opt for a convenient rideshare taxi or hop on the city's public transport system.
