The Basics

The center’s hundreds of interactive exhibits are spread over four floors and divided into several thematic sections such as Water World and Science in the Home. Throughout the center, visitors are invited to solve puzzles and brain teasers of varying difficulty and participate in activities such as astronaut training, experiencing a fire storm and lightning, getting acquainted with the work of Czech scientists and inventors, and learning about the functions of the human body.

Things to Know Before You Go

• iQLANDIA is a must-visit for families and is designed for children ages 8 and up.

• The center is wheelchair-accessible.

• Entrance to the planetarium is not included with admission, but you can save money by buying a combination exhibition/planetarium ticket.

How to Get There

iQLANDIA is located in the center of Liberec, around an hour and 15 minutes north of Prague. If driving, take the R10 highway from Prague and look for the exit marked by an iQLANDIA sign. There is a paid parking lot in front of the main entrance and free street parking nearby. If you are traveling by train or bus, the center is less than a 10-minute walk from the station.

When to Get There

iQLANDIA is open seven days a week, typically from early morning until early evening. Various displays and events are held throughout the week, so it’s a good idea to check the calendar before deciding when to visit. The center recommends a visit of at least four hours.

On-Site Dining

You’ll want to spend the best part of your day exploring the many parts of iQLANDIA, so you’ll likely need a break at some point. Fortunately, the on-site restaurant, iQCAFE, serves family-friendly dishes such as soup, goulash and dumplings, spaghetti bolognese, and pizza.
