Jardin d'Acclimatation
Bois de Boulogne, Route de la Porte Dauphine à la Porte des Sablons, Paris, Île-de-France, 75116
This leafy park is home to everything that kids find fun. Playgrounds, funfair rides, fountains, boats, mini roller coasters, and a petting zoo beckon from Jardin d’Acclimatation in Paris’ Bois de Boulogne. Giving a sense of immersion in nature within the city, the park appeals to adults, too, with its retro, belle epoque rides and a less hectic vibe than other larger theme parks.
The Basics
A general entry ticket includes access to the park’s gardens, walking trails, and aviary, while all rides and attractions cost one to three tickets each. For the best value, book an all-inclusive 1-day pass, which gives you unlimited rides for a full day and allows you to skip the ticket line.
Things to Know Before You Go
Visitor facilities include restrooms, an ATM, a picnic area, and six different restaurants.
Parking is available at the nearby Indigo Palais des Congrès, and ticket holders get a 50 percent discount.
The park has rides suitable for all ages, but some attractions have minimum height restrictions.
Fairground games and animal attractions are not included in the 1-day pass.
The park is wheelchair-accessible, but some rides and attractions may not be.
How to Get There
The Jardin d'Acclimatation is located at the northern end of the Bois de Boulogne in Paris’ 16th arrondissement. The closest metro station is Les Sablons (line 1), which is just a few minutes’ walk from the park entrance.
When to Get There
The park is open daily, but it can get busy on weekends and school holidays—opt for a weekday visit to avoid the biggest crowds, and arrive early if you’re visiting in high season. Look out for seasonal events over Christmas, Easter, and Halloween.
Highlights of the Jardin d'Acclimatation
Visitors can ride the Speed Rockets and Steam Engine roller coasters, enjoy classic rides such as the merry-go-round and swing ride, take a scenic train ride around the park, or rent a boat on the lake. Kids can have fun on the adventure playgrounds, trampolines, and ziplines, or play carnival games like duck fishing or balloon shooting. Home to a number of farm animals, the park also offers pony, donkey, and camel rides for younger children.
Ways to explore
You can enter Jardin d’Acclimatation with a single entry admission, which gives you access to the park but no attractions, a 1-day pass with attractions for weekday or weekend admissions, or a 1-day pass with attractions after 4pm. There is also a 4-person family rate. There are reduced rates for booking online. If you purchase single-entry tickets, you can pay extra for tickets to the attractions from machines in the park. This cost-saving option works for those who only want to ride a few rides.
Accessibility
The park is wheelchair accessible, but some rides and attractions may not be.
Age limits
Jardin d’Acclimatation offers rides suitable for all ages, although some rides have height restrictions. Entry is free for kids under 31 inches (80 centimeters).

Address

Driving
If you don’t mind the heavy Paris traffic, there are some paid parking spaces on the Neuilly-sur-Seine and Bois de Boulogne sides of the park. Arrive early to bag a spot. Parking is free on Sundays and French public vacation days in the Bois de Boulogne.
Public transportation
Take the metro to Les Sablons (line 1), leave at Exit 2, and then walk for 10 minutes to the main entrance. Or, pay to enter the park by mini-train instead. The mini-trains depart from the stations at Sablons and Porte Maillot (via line C or E RER train) every half hour.
Best times to visit
Arrive when the park opens its doors at mid-morning, and you’ll be rewarded with fewer lines for admission, rides, and food.
Best days to visit
Weekdays, outside of the French school vacations, are the best days to visit.
Best months to visit
In the sunnier months, the park is busier. Visit from September through March for a quieter atmosphere.
Special events
Events take place throughout the year, but the Family Festival, in collaboration with the nearby Fondation Louis Vuitton, is a favorite for kids and creative adults. It takes place over a weekend in mid-June, and covers art workshops, live shows, outdoor yoga, and a toddler program.
