Juming Museum

No. 2 Xishihu, Jinshan, New Taipei, Taiwan, 20842

Dedicated to the 20th-century Taiwanese sculptor Ju Ming, the Juming Museum is both a key cultural stop and a popular place for outdoor recreation. Located in the Jinshan District north of Taipei, the museum is home to a sprawling sculpture garden. Head inside to learn more about Ju Ming’s career and see works by affiliated artists.

The basics

Designed by Ju Ming himself and open since 1999, the Juming Museum is a key destination for art lovers. With its distinctive design, it’s an artwork in its own right. Home to over 2,000 of its creator’s works, the museum’s indoor and outdoor exhibition spaces provide a broad survey of his career, including three major series: the Nativist Series, Taichi Series, and Living World Series. Visitors can admire artworks related to traditional culture, rural characters, nature, and more, which are made from materials ranging from bronze to ceramics and stainless steel.

To make your visit simpler, book online tickets to the museum in advance of your visit. The institution is also included in the convenient Taipei Fun Card scheme. Alternatively, leave the planning to someone else: the Juming Museum is included on a range of seamless, full-day tours from Taipei, which also visit nearby highlights like the Yehliu Geopark, Dianji Temple in Keelung City, and Jinshan Old Street.
