The basics
Children can play with more LEGO pieces than they can dream of in the Discovery Center, where rooms with jungle expedition, racetrack, and Star Wars themes offer them inspiration. See what’s possible with LEGOs at a small-scale replica of the Chicago skyline at MINILAND® and among the elaborate designs of the master builder model workshop. Kids can burn off energy at Pirate Adventure Island, get moving on two fantasy-themed rides, and meet their favorite LEGO characters.
Things to know before you go

How to get there
LEGOLAND Discovery Center is located about 45 minutes from downtown Chicago in the suburb of Schaumburg. The easiest way to get there is by car, and free parking is available in the on-site lot or across from the AMC Loews Movie Theater. Alternatively, take the CTA Blue Line from downtown Chicago to Rosemont Station. From there, transfer to the Route 606 Pace bus and get off at Northwest Transportation Center, across the street from LEGOLAND.
When to get there
LEGOLAND is open 365 days a year, usually from 10am to 7pm. Check the website for occasional late openings or early closing times on certain holidays. The attraction is entirely indoors, so it's a great option for chilly Chicago days.
LEGO Master Builder Academy
Kids can take their LEGO skills to the next level with hands-on classes at LEGOLAND taught by master builders. While these classes are offered to kids of all ages, the academy is especially good for older children who want to create larger, more intricate designs using many blocks. The workshops are included with the price of admission and offered all day on weekends and after 1pm on weekdays.
