The Basics
You’ll find some of Singapore’s top sights in Marina Bay. Highlights include Marina Bay Sands, the Gardens by the Bay nature park and the futuristic Supertree Grove, the Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay arts center, the legendary Merlion statue, and the Suntec City mall.
Many full-day and half-day city tours include a stop at Marina Bay. Explore the area on a walking, Segway, bike, or bus tour; enjoy a bird’s-eye view from the Singapore Flyer Ferris wheel; or sail past on a cruise around the bay. How to Get There
Located at the southern tip of Singapore, Marina Bay is well-served by public transit. The closest MRT stops to the northern half of Marina Bay are Esplanade and Promenade; the closest stops to the southern half are Bayfront and Downtown. Numerous buses also stop nearby. Air-conditioned linkways connect the Raffles City complex and the Fullerton Hotel to Marina Bay.
When to Get There
With so much to see and do, Marina Bay is a good place to visit at any time. The Spectra light and water show at Marina Bay Sands is held twice nightly Monday through Thursday, and three times nightly on Friday and Saturday. Marina Bay hosts several large-scale events throughout the year, including the Singapore Grand Prix in September, the i Light Marina Bay festival in spring, and the National Day Parade in August.

One of two integrated resorts in Singapore, Marina Bay Sands is one of the world’s most expansive casino complexes.
