The Basics

Mount Opera’s main draws are the rides, with typical carnival-style amusements including mini bobsleds, merry-go-rounds, and a Ferris wheel, plus bumper cars, boats, and go-karts. The water park section includes a rain area and a large splash pool fed by water that streams out of the mouth of a gargantuan statue, while the kids' zone features playground amusements, including poles, swings, and slides.

How to Get There

Mount Opera is located just off the Hyderabad–Vijayawada National Highway, about 2.5 miles (4 kilometers) from Ramoji Film City and 24 miles (38 kilometers) from Hyderabad proper. Getting there by public transportation requires multiple transfers and lots of walking, but it's a straight shot if you're coming by taxi or as part of a tour and takes around 45 minutes without traffic.

When to Get There

Mount Opera is open 365 days a year, from midmorning to evening Monday through Friday, with extended hours on weekends and public holidays. Weekends, and Sundays in particular, can get very crowded, so visit on a weekday if you have some flexibility. The temperatures are coolest and driest from November through March, while June through September can be hot and rainy due to summer monsoons.
