POINT OF INTEREST

Oasis Park Fuerteventura

Museo del Campo Majorero, Carretera Gral. Jandía, La Lajita, Las Palmas, 35627

On the island of Fuerteventura, this zoological park is home to about 3,000 animals representing 250 species, including large savanna animals such as hippos, elephants, and giraffes. You can watch zookeeper demonstrations, with sea lions, parrots, and birds of prey, and also admire the plant life in the park, including the largest cactus garden in Europe.

The Basics

Oasis Park is divided among some four animal exhibits and four large reserves. A free Ecotour tram makes a 45-minute loop around the park, with several pickup and drop-off points along the way. Visitors can choose between a basic entrance ticket (with or without round-trip transportation) or upgrade to an admission ticket including one of the park’s interactive animal experiences.
