The Basics

How to Get There

The film park is located in the Songjiang district, which is quite a distance from downtown Shanghai. Though expensive, it’s easiest to take a taxi directly there. Getting there by public transportation will entail a metro ride to a bus or taxi. Special tourist buses also run daily from Shanghai Stadium, leaving in the morning and returning in the afternoon.

When to Get There

The film park is open daily from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Film stunt shows are held twice a day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. The filming of movies and TV shows occur from time to time, but aren’t usually revealed ahead of time.

Shanghai Movie Museum

Film and movie buffs should also pay a visit to the Shanghai Movie Museum. Located in Xujiahui, the museum spans four floors and features more than 70 interactive installations and 3,000 historic exhibits that detail the history and art of filmmaking in Shanghai.
