Sioux City Park

The basics

At Sioux City, you'll journey back into the Wild West as you wander the dusty streets, encounter cowboys on horseback, and witness a mock bank robbery and shootout on Main Street. You can also browse film memorabilia and authentic Western artifacts in the museum, catch a cattle-roping demonstration, a knife-throwing show in the saloon, or set out on your own horseback ride outside the park. 

Tickets to the attraction can be purchased online, and include a free shuttle service from select locations around Gran Canaria.

• The saloon sells American-style burgers and barbecue. 
• Long pants and closed-toed shoes are recommended for horseback rides.
• Sioux City tours are not wheelchair accessible.

How to get there

Sioux City is located in San Agustín on Gran Canaria’s southern coast, about a 40-minute drive from Las Palmas. A free shuttle bus is available if you book in advance, or you can take bus #50 from Las Palmas to Faro de Maspalomas. From these locations, take a taxi or bus to Sioux City. By car, follow the GC-1 southeast out of Las Palmas, and follow signs to Sioux City once you pass Tarajalillo.

When to get there

Sioux City's Wild West shows typically begin mid-morning and run at regular intervals throughout the day. Check the museum website for showtimes and information on special events like rodeos, country music shows, and barbecue events. 

Sightseeing in Maspalomas

The Maspalomas coast is famous for its luxurious seaside resorts, stunning coastal scenery, and vast expanse of sand dunes. The dunes are a dedicated nature park, which you can cross on foot or by camel. Also nearby, the Aqualand waterpark is a fun option for visitors with kids, and the Maspalomas Lighthouse makes a nice destination for walks along the beach.
