SkyView
Avicii Arena, Arenatorget 2, Johanneshov, Sweden, 121 77
Offering some of the best panoramic views of Stockholm, SkyView is a unique attraction at the city’s Avicii Arena. Consisting of two glass gondolas that slowly scale the sides of the dome-shaped structure, and which offer 360-degree views of the cityscape, it’s an accessible way for families and visitors of all stripes to get to know the Swedish capital.
The basics
Stockholm’s Avicii Arena—one of the largest spherical buildings in the world—has long been an icon of the city’s skyline, and since the 2010 debut of its SkyView attraction, visitors have enjoyed another way to experience its scale. As the ride’s two gondolas ascend to the top of the 279-foot (85-meter) dome, they offer spectacular vistas over the city’s landmarks—and an efficient sightseeing experience.
You can book tickets online in advance (which is especially recommended for visits on the weekends, holidays, and other busy periods), or purchase them upon arrival; SkyView is also included in the cost-saving Go City pass. With a typical visit lasting around 30 minutes, it’s easy to fit into a full day of sightseeing.
Things to know before you go
Children 4 years old and under can visit for free, while there’s discounted admission for older kids and seniors; on-site payments are by card only.
If you can, visit on a clear, bright day to be rewarded with the best possible city views and photo opps.
There are just 12 visitors per gondola, so you’re ensured an intimate sightseeing experience.
SkyView is completely accessible to wheelchair users.

Where to admire aerial views of Stockholm
In addition to SkyView, there are a number of other scenic viewing points that show off the best of the Swedish capital.
