Tsilivi Waterpark
Planos, Zakynthos, 291 00
A family-friendly park on the northeast coast of the Ionian island of Zakynthos, Tsilivi has splash-filled rides, wading and wave pools, a lazy river, and fun activities to keep kids happy all day. Whether you spend your time shooting down the adrenaline-pumping water slides or relaxing under a sun umbrella, the park is an ideal family break.
The basics
Tsilivi opened in 2010 and is home to thrilling water rides like the Blackhole, Turbolance, Space Hole, and four-lane Multislide; gentler fun for younger tots includes mushroom showers, the Octopus and Elephant toddler slides, kiddie slides down a pirate galleon, and a land-locked playground area. Bobbing along the lazy river, taking a dip in the swimming pools with wave machines, and the Aqua Jungle are fun for the whole family. With shaded sunbeds, three dining options, and showers and changing rooms to freshen up, you can easily spend an entire day.
Things to know before you go
- There are rides and activities suitable for everyone from infants to adults, so Tsilivi is a perfect family break.
- In addition to a swimsuit, towel, and sunblock, be sure to bring flip-flops as the park’s pavement gets very hot during the day.
- There are three dining options in the park, from a restaurant to a poolside snack bar, so even choosy young gourmands will find something to their liking.
- The park is completely accessible to wheelchair users, and includes a disabled bathroom.
- Lifeguards are on duty at all the pools and slides; there is a minimum height requirement for some of the slides and rides.
How to get there
Tsilivi Waterpark is located along the coastline, roughly halfway between Alikanas and Zakynthos town near Tsilivi Beach, one of the most family-friendly on the island of Zakynthos due to its shallow water and fully-equipped beach clubs. There is no public transportation to the water park, but you can drive or take a taxi from one of the island’s main towns.
When to get there
The water park is open daily during the summer months, though most crowded on the weekends and during the school holidays. Visit on a weekday to avoid the worst of the throngs.
Beaches on Zakynthos
Tsilivi Waterpark is located near a family-friendly beach of the same name, but Zakynthos is famous for its numerous and scenic beaches. The most scenic include Shipwreck Beach (also known as Navagio Beach), Gerakas, Kalamaki, and Agios Nikolaos, known for its water sports.
