How to Get There
Wacky Rollers Adventure Park is located on the Layou river just outside Roseau in Dominica, close to the port where cruise ships dock. The park arranges complimentary round trip transportation from the port as well as many nearby hotels. The closest town is Mero, which is less than 1 mile (1.6 kilometers) away.
When to Get There
The park is open daily year-round. For the most enjoyable experience, try to visit during the dry season, which is generally from December through April, as the Layou river is prone to flooding and landslides during the rainy reason (mid-June to mid-November). During big storms, some river-based adventure rides such as tubing and kayaking might not be possible.
Roseau Old Market
After the thrilling activities at the park, go for a different kind of adventure at the atmospheric Roseau Old Market located near the port behind the Dominica Museum. Dating back 300 years, the covered market was a gathering spot for political meetings, executions, and the slave trade. These days, wooden booths line the old cobblestone streets and are filled with tropical fruit, spices, handmade souvenirs, and jewelry.
