The Basics

Wonderla Hyderabad offers more than 40 rides for all ages and exhilaration levels. Young children can enjoy such attractions as spinning saucers, a carousel, a miniature train, and a swinging ship, while older kids and adults can ride the log ride and roller coasters including the Termite Coaster, which travels through a giant “termite mound.” For thrill seekers, top picks include Recoil, a reverse looping roller coaster, and Equinox, which spins riders at the end of a rotating arm and suspends them upside down. Water rides include waterslides from gentle to steep and looping, a lazy river, and a fun area for younger children.

Most travelers visit the park independently while staying in and around Hyderabad. Fast-track tickets, available in limited numbers, allow you to save time and go to the front of lines. These can be a good investment during summer, when wait times tend to be long.

Things to Know Before You Go

• Proper swimwear made from synthetic fabric must be worn in the pool and waterslide areas and can be purchased at the park.

• Wonderla Hyderabad has several on-site dining establishments.

• The changing rooms have lockers to keep your valuables safe while you’re on the rides.

• A limited number of wheelchairs and strollers are available to rent.

• Height and weight restrictions apply to some rides.

How to Get There

Wonderla Hyderabad is located off the Nehru Outer Ringroad, about 15 miles (25 kilometers) south of central Hyderabad, not far from the airport. The easiest way to get there is by private car or taxi. If you’re driving, take the NH765 road from central Hyderabad.

When to Get There

Wonderla Hyderabad is open every day of the week, from late morning to early evening, with extended hours on weekends, and after-hours tickets are available on weekend and holiday evenings. The dry and wet sections of the park also have slightly different hours. Weekends and school holidays are most crowded, so aim for a midweek visit if possible.

Visit Ramoji Film City

One of the most popular attractions near Hyderabad, Ramoji Film City is an amusement park and film set where many Telugu-language films are shot, but you don’t have to be a Tollywood fan to enjoy the day here. Hop aboard an open, vintage bus to tour the sprawling park and its detailed sets.
