Campground Overview
Introduction
Long Pine Key campground is open seasonally November-May. It is one of two frontcountry camping options run by the “Flamingo Adventures'' concession. Reservations are available for RV’s and tents along with first come first serve sites. If sites are booked, more camping may be available further down the Main Park Road in Flamingo.

Weather
The winter/spring dry season extends from about December to mid-May, with temperatures ranging from the low 50s to upper 70s (12 to 25 degrees Celsius) and low humidity. Continental weather fronts occasionally bring near-freezing temperatures to south Florida. Often-breezy winter weather conditions can create a wind chill factor that makes perceived temperatures feel considerably cooler than what the thermometer reads.

Long Pine Key Campground is located seven miles (11 km) from the main entrance to the park near Homestead, just off the main road.
Rates & Fees
Long Pine Key Campground- tent and non-electric RV (Monday - Thursday, per site per night)
The fee covers one site per night. This camping fee does not include the entrance fee to the Park. A 10% discount is offered to seniors, active and retired military, and Access Pass holders.

Fire/Stove Policy
Fires permitted in grills only. Fires must be attended at all times. Only dead, down wood may be collected.Regulations Overview
Maximum of eight people and two vehicles per campsite; one RV and one or two tents per campsite. Check-out time is 12 p.m. Register by 10 a.m. Campground speed limit is 15 mph. Obey all traffic signs. RV's and vehicles must be parked on paved parking area. An extra vehicle must park on the grassy shoulder, parallel to the road. Roller skates, skateboards and similar devices are not permitted. Generators may be operated from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. only. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Pets must be kept on a leash (max. of 6 feet in length) at all times. Pets are only allowed in the campground, parking lots and along roadsides. Do not leave pets unattended and clean up after your pet. Wastewater drainage of any kind is prohibited. Use the dump station for sewage and gray water disposal. Washing of dishes, food, clothing, or other property, and bathing at public water faucets is prohibited. Utility sinks for dish washing are located in the rear of each restroom.
