The lodge lacked staffing due to the aftermath of COVID and current state of economy. Morning breakfast situation was pretty bad - had to ask fir everything. Overall, the lodge generally seemed run down and not maintained - again, probably due to lack of resources.
We were warned water was not consumable as their well had been contaminated with PFAS. We were given bottles of purified water to brush teeth, drink, etc. We were told we could still shower with the contaminated water but who would want to do that? The toilet kept running several times and we had to go in and jiggle the handle. The front desk person upon check out was kind but did comment the running toilet was a common problem. The person also said a filtration is being put in for the water issue but it was not yet complete for the rooms. The people at the desk were nice. The stay was not so nice.
