I booked well in advance and they gave me a room looking at their electrical motors, generators, blowers, etc. One night the noise was so loud I had to put the tv on at 4 in the morning to drown out the noise to try to get some sleep. I went right down to the lobby and asked for a room with a view and was told I did not specifically order a room with a view and there is nothing they can do about it. Well, I did not order a "quiet room" either, so no sense wasting my time to go ask for another room again. I am disabled and can't stay on my feet for long periods of time, so spend a lot of my vacation in the room. It sucked having to look out at their motors for a view when I am in the City of Brotherly Love....lol OH, and the room smelled like disinfectant so strong when I first entered I thought I would pass out. Once the smell disappeared I was ok. FYI I was so disgusted over this room view and the noise I spent the entire 5 days eating and drinking OUTSIDE of this hotel. Did not spend a dime more after being stuck in that nasty room with the view of motors, generators, blowers, etc. The woman at the front desk could have at least checked to see if there was a vacant room for me. She just snapped back no. I am an IHG member, but most of my travels are thru AAA so I don't get credit when I stay at one of your hotels.
